JD Power ranks the most reliable vehicles using a scale of one to five. Consumer Reports is another group that tracks the most reliable car brands. According to this publication, Toyota and Lexus are consistently among the most reliable car brands. Here are this year's most reliable car brands.

Porsche

With an average reliability score of 4.5 out of 5, Porsche is at the top of the Consumer Reports list and takes first place in this ranking of the most reliable car brands. The most reliable model on this market is the Porsche 911. Porsche sells only a small stable of vehicles with only six on the market for 2019. These vehicles occupy a prominent position in their respective markets. None of the Porsche vehicles scored less than four.

Kia

The Korean manufacturer is renowned for the quality of its guarantees. Basic warranty at five years or 60,000 miles and the powertrain range at 10 years or 100,000 miles. Kia's average reliability is 3.8, which puts it slightly above Honda. Consumer Reports places Kia number two on its list with Kia Sedona as the most reliable model. The Kia Soul is also among the top-ranked vehicles, after winning the Best Compact Car award from US News magazine for the 2017 model year. One vehicle that lowers Kia's score is the Sedona, which JD Power ranks at 2.5 out of 5.

Honda

Ranking slightly above the Chevrolet car brand with an average reliability score of 3.6, Honda also ranks 3rd among the most reliable car brands according to Consumer Reports. According to this publication, the most reliable Honda model is the Fit. The Odyssey minivan is only 2.5 out of five. The Honda Ridgeline pickup, which ranks 4.5 and is considered one of the best-off roaders on the market, is at the top of the ranking.
